A dietitian told how small changes in life help to achieve sustainability to lose weight. Yes, most diets lead to weight loss, but the desired effect disappears after a while. Instead of giving up your favorite foods, it’s best to stick to a healthy lifestyle in general.
“Even small changes in daily routine, diet, and activity can help you lose weight in a healthy way, as opposed to a diet that is bad for your health in the long run,” says a dietitian.

- Don’t get distracted while eating. It has been proven that people who watch TV or use mobile phones while eating usually eat more than they need.
- Use smaller plates. We end up giving ourselves large portions when we use large plates and risk eating extra calories.
- Drink more water. Hunger attacks are sometimes triggered by a need for water rather than food. For faster and more natural weight loss, make sure you drink enough water.
- Avoid liquid calories. Sweet juices, colas, soft drinks, cocktails, sodas, etc. should all be strictly taboo. They will not only add calories but also lead to the risk of diabetes.
- Move more. Long hours of sitting contribute to the formation of fat cells. Decision? Take frequent breaks, do small things like go to the kitchen for water, and do regular one-minute exercises like jumping jacks or sit-ups between school or work hours.
