    2. Eat bread, whole grain products, pasta, rice or potatoes several times a day.
    3. Eat different types of vegetables and fruit several times a day, preferably fresh and from your region (at least 400 g per day).
    4. Maintain a healthy weight (BMI 18.5-25) with moderate to vigorous physical activity every day.
    5. Replace most saturated fats with unsaturated fats and limit your fat intake to no more than 30% of daily calories.
    6. Fatty meats and meat products can be replaced with beans, legumes, lentils, fish, poultry, or lean meats.
    7. Eat low-fat and low-salt milk and dairy products (kefir, curdled milk, curdled milk and cheese).
    8. Choose low-sugar foods and consume free sugars in moderation, limiting your intake of sugary drinks and sweets.
    9. Reduce your salt intake with a low-sodium diet. The total amount of salt consumed daily should not exceed one teaspoon (5 g), including salt from bread, processed salt, and canned foods. (Salt iodization should be mandatory in areas where there is an iodine deficiency problem.)
    10. Because studies show that the best health option is not to drink at all, the WHO does not set specific limits for alcohol consumption. So less is preferable.
    11. Prepare food hygienically and safely. Reduce excess fat by steaming, baking, boiling or reheating in the microwave.
    12. Encourage exclusive breastfeeding for a child’s first six months of life, followed by the introduction of safe and appropriate complementary foods at about six months. Encourage breastfeeding for a child’s first two years of life.
